DYK that 70% of recruiters check all social media channels?
Last week, I had the pleasure of sharing my LinkedIn and video best practices with Columbia graduate students. Here are a few of my top tips!
Recruiters are watching. Make sure you’re exercising restraint and judgment everywhere.
On LinkedIn, your profile photo is the first thing recruiters see: Make it friendly, hi-res and professional! A professional photo gets 14 times more views than other profile pictures.
Make yourself a thought leader by enriching your LinkedIn profile with relevant media articles, portfolio items, media hits, blog posts and more.
Keep your Skills and Endorsements sections relevant to your career trajectory – and don’t be afraid to ask for endorsements from 10-15 trusted colleagues!
Thank you to Izabela Rutkowski and Columbia for having me! If you represent a university whose students you’d like me to speak with, email nicole@nataliezfat.com for more details!
